40th Annual Deep South Star Gaze

Yes, #40! With the cancellation of just a very few star parties that were just a year or two older than the Deep South, the Deep South Star Gaze became the oldest annual star party in the United States without an interruption. 40 years in a row since the very first one at Percy Quin State Park back in 1983. Over 1000 different people have attending the 39 earlier Deep South Star Gazes at 4 different venues now. 22 years at Percy Quin State Park, 4 years at Camp Ruth Lee, 9 years at the Feliciana Retreat Center and now it will be 5 years at the White Horse Christian Retreat Camp.
Our dates this year are from Tuesday, October 25th to Sunday, October 30th. To date registrations are going very well and we expect a good head count at White Horse. Hopefully I will be able to attend the BRAS meeting on Monday night to give anyone interested more details about this year's DSSG.
