The seventeenth International Astronomy Day will take place on 29 April 2022 from 3pm to 11pm at the Highland Road Park Observatory. As usual there is no admission fee. The waxing gibbous Moon will be available during most of the event, and there will be two hours of solar viewing. Other celestial targets will include Venus and Mars, and the asteroids Ceres and Pallas.
Raffle prizes will be announced before 1 January 2022. As usual, the tickets will be on sale during IAD. Beginning this year, the actual drawing will occur on ARRL Field Day in June.
