Omega Centauri

Globulars or Open, clusters of stars can be neat viewing.

The tradition continues...Omega Centauri will be the climax target at 2019 International Astronomy Day from 9:45pm to 11pm. As always, this event takes place at the Highland Road Park Observatory.

Roslyn obtained Omega Centauri not too long ago during AL viewing at HRPO.

At 10pm CDT on Saturday night, Omega Centauri will be ten degrees up in the south, and at 11pm it will be twelve degrees up. (It doesn't rise too high, remember.) Personnel will attempt viewing of this glorious object, as is done traditionally every International Astronomy Day...
