This will be the third year the stakeholders, taxpayers and decision-makers regarding the problem of light pollution and the pursuit of returning a natural sky above the Baton Rouge area will be invited to network at the Highland Road Park Observatory.

The excitement has been building in BRAS: John and Scott C. are constructing a brand-new diorama with assistance from Baton Rouge Scale Modelers. This diorama will show a stark contrast between FCO lighting and cruddy lighting that muddies up the sky.

Also, Amy has redone the Free the Milky Way display and that will premiere at the NSC as well.

The NSC page on HRPO's website should be up by Tuesday.

NOAA predicts a 63% chance of rain and 78% cloud cover Friday night. To insure an actual patronage for the visiting exhibitors, the Natural Sky Conference has been moved from Friday the 22nd to Saturday 23rd. All other aspects including time (6pm to 9pm) remain the same. During this newly-scheduled session exhibitors will be on site until 9pm, but viewing will take place until 10pm. Also, a magnitude -3.9 pass of the International Space Station is predicted beginning at 6:22pm.

HRPO is closed to the public on Friday the 22nd.
