Moon Shot

Post by btoman » June 12th, 2016, 12:51 am

Here is a shot of the Moon from last night since tonight was a bit cloudy. From left to right, the three big craters are Catherina, Cyrillus and Theophilus. They border Mare Nectaris on the right.

Same equipment. 10" Orion Xtg, Solar System Color Imager IV on a 2x barlow. 30 seconds stacked in Registax 6. Not the greatest focus, but a fun shot.

Nice shot. It gives one that "close in" perspective.

Another nice shot. The smaller young crater to the right of Theophilus is Mädler. The focus really isn't that bad considering the climate zone within which you're working.
