2023 General Lunar Viewing

Post by Christopher K. »

The Full Moon has risen! It looks beautiful. By 2am or 3am the fog is rolling in and the humidity is spiking, so be sure to take a look way before then.

Full Moon is at 6:40am CST tomorrow. This means the Moon will "appear" full from 7pm tonight (when it will be seventeen degrees up in the east) until 5:30am tomorrow morning (when it will be eighteen degrees up in the west). It will culminate in the south at seventy degrees in the constellation Leo at 12:08am.

At 12:23pm CDT the Moon was New; Pegasus was at zenith. Sunset was at 7:16pm CDT. Twilight ended at 8:37pm CDT. The night sky was fairly nice until thin clouds started rolling in.

Tomorrow night is forecast to have fewer clouds.
