The Highland Road Park Observatory no longer has shutdown guidelines imposed on it. There are no more temperature check, and no more mandatory masking.

Since HRPO personnel wants the return of the Friday Night Lecture Series to coincide with a reasonable amount of darkness at the end of the lecture, the first FNLS will be on 27 August.

In a nineteen-page ruling State Justice William Crain overturned previous rulings when he said that the State of Louisiana could not prove that church gatherings over a certain size were more dangerous than shopping at private brick-and-mortar businesses. The State Supreme Court announced that the state's COVID restrictions violated the First Amendment rights of Life Tabernacle Pastor Tony Spell.
