When a telescope is used for the first time, the event is called "first light". I suppose the last time a person uses a scope it could be called "final light". The Conrad Special has "final light" (at least for HRPO) this weekend.
Long-time supporters know of this scope: the large white tube inside a wooden Dobsonian cradle. The now-famous telescope (altered from its original configuration by the late Frank Conrad into a Dobsonian) will have its final light at HRPO this Friday the 31st from 8:30pm to 10pm. Patrons will be able to get their final glimpse before the Conrad Special moves to a private residence as BRAS continues the consolidation of the equipment the club keeps at HRPO.
