Due to a light sporadic sprinkle, HRPO will close at 9:30pm.

Weather permitting, HRPO will be open for the peak of the Geminid Meteor Shower from 9pm to 1am on Thursday the 13th. Viewing will be attempted from 8:30pm to 10pm on the 14th. The viewing session on Saturday the 15th will be extended due to the brightening of Comet Wirtanen; the viewing will commence at 7:30pm as usual, but beginning at 9:15pm the entire personnel effort will focus on finding Wirtanen for the public, and that effort will continue until 11:15pm.
