I suppose it's likely that many UFO reports come from those who do not watch the skies on a regular basis. Most are easily explained/solved; some reports can be intriguing whether they are explained.

Clinton Pettigrew, recently retired from LSU's Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, will give a talk tonight at 7:30pm at the Highland Road Park Observatory entitled "Beliefs about UFOs". This is Dr. Pettigrew's seventh consecutive year giving this presentation.

Extra news! Dr. Pettigrew will also be at HRPO on 8 May. He is premiered an extension lecture entitled "Alien Abductions", also at 7:30pm. He will outline the different possible reasons people have for believing in these frightening occurrences, especially when hard evidence is lacking.
