The next GLOBE at Night session begins tonight and lasts until 5 April. Unlike the first two sessions of 2019, this sessions seems to have cooperative weather. Tonight, Thursday night and Friday night should all have clear enough skies from end of twilight to midnight.

A young lady at St. Joseph's Academy is compiling a science fair project on the diminished views of Messier objects in light-polluted skies. A variety of GLOBE at Night measurements within seventy-five kilometers of HRPO will assist her greatly.

The current GLOBE at Night session runs through Saturday night. Once again, Leo is the target constellation. The HRPO service area still has just a few measurements. It needs some more; the Country Roads article on light pollution will be out any day now.
