The current GLOBE at Night session lasts until the 17th. If I read the instructions correctly, there is a choice of constellation this time--Orion or Leo. The forecast is good through Wednesday night; take the opportunity to collect data.

The Leo guide:

This is the last night of the current GaN session; the constellation to be viewed is Boötes. There have been sixty-four reported observations in Louisiana so far this year. Below is the NOAA forecast for 10pm tonight...
precipitation potential, 17%
sky cover, 21%
relative humidity, 74%
temperature, 25˚C
surface wind, N 3 km/h

Danko lists the transparency for that time as "average" (3 out of 5) and the seeing as "good" (4 out of 5).

The next GLOBE at Night session will be Independence Day to 13 July. The constellation is Hercules still. Some Young Astronaut Clubs may be participating in GLOBE at Night come the new school year--it will be much-needed help.

The next GLOBE at Night session will run from 2 August to 11 August. The target constellation will be Cygnus. So far (as of this posting) there have been a paltry eleven measurements taken in Louisiana.
