2021 NanoDays

On Friday 26 March HRPO's Friday Night Lecture Series (7:30pm to 8:30pm) wlll be related to nanotechnology. The speaker and specific topic is to be announced.

On Saturday 27 March from 3pm to 7pm, Dr. Juana Moreno and her students return to HRPO for a celebration of nanotechnology and its applications. This event begins at 3pm and will have activities from adults and children alike. A variety of nanotechnology demonstrations and experiments will be present, many constructed with a child's inquisitive nature in mind. Solar viewing will take place from 3pm to 5pm.

At 7pm, the NanoDays event segues into Plus Night. Neither event will have an admission fee.

The following restrictions will apply for all patrons until further notice…
*All people who are not part of the same household must stay at least six feet apart from one another.
*Only fifty (50) patrons are allowed on site at any one time.
*Only twelve (12) patrons are allowed inside the main floor at any one time.
*No patron will be allowed inside the main floor unless he/she agrees to a temperature scan and wears a mask.
*Only one (1) patron will be allowed inside each bathroom at any one time.
*There is a strict time limit of thirty minutes for each patron’s visit.

Danko's Clear Dark Sky states that during HRPO's viewing time both the transparency rating and the seeing rating will be "poor" (2 out of 5).

Solar viewing is from 3pm to 5pm. If there is a winning bidder, the launch of the Quest Viper rocket will take place between 3:45pm and 4pm. The NanoQuest game to earn prizes from the payload bay will begin at 5pm.
