Flaming Star Nebula (IC 405)

The Flaming Star Nebula is difficult to see (it's magnitude 6, and "spread out" stuff like nebula and galaxies don't look as sharp as discrete objects of the same magnitude). This processed shot is beautiful...
...but binoculars would only reveal AE Aurigae, which is heading toward the Sun's part of the sky right now and will be seen again early in the morning in August. A medium-sized telescope with low power would reveal the nebula in natural contrast skies.
