Tomorrow at 2pm CST, NASA-TV will present "Black Hole 101".

The term "black hole" was coined by John Wheeler in 1968; supposedly an audience member shouted the suggestion during a lecture. Wheeler became the Joseph Henry Professor of Physics Emeritus at Princeton University.

All day today, NASA's Public Channel will broadcast select programming on black holes. That's right--it's Black Hole Friday! Professor Rob Hynes of LSU (one of the regular 20OGS operators at HRPO) studies black holes and accretion disks, but he's far from the only black hole enthusiast in Baton Rouge.
