Did anyone else see a fireball at about 45 degrees up in the western sky around 8:45 pm tonight? It was visible to me from a light polluted area near Ruffino's on Highland road. There were also some clouds here & there.

I saw a streak out the corner of my eye & I looked up just in time to see the last part of the trail light up green, just before the meteor winked out. The green glow lasted for just a second or two & then was gone. Very cool.

The meteor moved from a northern direction toward & into the western sky.

Thank you so much for detailing what you've seen. No HRPO patron, and no BRAS member has mentioned being a witness to the event. I checked the Fireball Logs at the American Meteor Society and I don't see anything listed yet. However, you can be the first to report; the form is very user-friendly...
