The following restrictions will apply for all patrons until further notice…
*All people who are not part of the same household must stay at least six feet apart from one another.
*Only thirty (30) patrons are allowed on site at any one time.
*Only twelve (12) patrons are allowed inside the main floor at any one time.
*No patron will be allowed inside the main floor unless he/she agrees to a temperature scan and wears a mask.
*Only one (1) patron will be allowed inside each bathroom at any one time.
*There is a strict time limit of thirty minutes for each patron’s visit.

Below is the NOAA forecast for HRPO's planned viewing time of 12pm to 2pm...
precipitation potential, 21%
sky cover, 5%
relative humidity, 55%
temperature, 34˚C
heat index, 39˚C
surface wind, SE 3 km/h

Danko's Clear Dark Sky states that during HRPO's viewing time the transparency rating will be "average" (3 out of 5) and the seeing rating will be "excellent" (5 out of 5). Due to a staff shortage for this afternoon, the Coronado hydrogen-alpha scope will not be used. At this time there are no SWPC alerts and one Active Region, AR 2770.

This is the scope timeline...
*12pm to 12:30pm = Learning Technologies Sunspotter
*12:30pm to 1:30pm = Orion 10" Skyquest Dobsonian Reflector (with solar filter)

The next planned solar viewing session will take place on Saturday 12 September from 12pm to 2pm.

HRPO has been formalizing a policy to bring to this program an add-on fee-based activity in which kids can immerse themselves during the visit. The plans were slowed by the virus response, but September should see the first of these activities.
