2019 Moon-Planet Conjunctions

Post by Christopher K. » January 12th, 2019, 3:09 pm

This thread will cover most of the 2019 events wherein the Moon comes within nine degrees of a planet. "Loose" will be a conjunction with the components fewer than nine degrees apart, "Moderate" will be fewer than six degrees, and "Tight" will be fewer than three degrees.

12 January 2019, 8:22pm to 9:22pm CST
MODERATE: Moon-Mars

The two will be setting together in the west, the Moon in Cetus and Mars in Pisces. The 6.3-day-old Moon will have Mars to its right, the pair remaining fewer than six degrees apart the whole time. At 8:22pm the Moon will be thirty-five degrees up, and twenty-three degrees up at 9:22pm.
