GRACE Follow-On

Post by Christopher K. » May 17th, 2018, 5:37 pm

On Monday 21 May at 12:30pm CDT, both NASA-TVs will broadcast a live pre-launch news conference. HRPO will show it on one of the main floor monitors. Coverage of the actual launch begins at 2:15pm CDT on Tuesday the 22nd; launch is slated for 2:47pm and again NASA will show it on both channels. A "second chapter" for the original GRACE which worked from 2002 to last year, GRACE-FO will study how mass is distributed between Earth's liquid water and water ice.

Today at 11am CDT and 1pm CDT both NASA-TVs will rebroadcast the GRACE FO Pre-Launch News Conference. Times for the beginning of coverage of the launch and the launch itself have not changed. If the launch is successful, it will be reshown at 5pm and 8pm.

Patrons can stop by the Highland Road Park Observatory to view the GRACE FO launch, as the facility will be open an extra hour.
